Every Person in the UK and most other countries need a passport and it doesn't matter what age they are.  Therefore every person needs a passport photo or baby passport photo to send with the application.

We are here to help you - we are in the business of producing your passport photo for you.

If you live in the Leyland area, then why not pop in to our shop and we will take your picture with a digital camera and prepare your passport photo or baby passport photo while you wait.

As we don't use a booth, we have very few rejections.

If you aren't local, don't worry, it may be possible for you to take your own photo using the simple steps below and we will convert your picture into a passport photo or baby passport photo for you.

US Visa Photos & Indian Visa Photos

If you are travelling to the USA or India, you may find that you need to have a different size of passport photo or Visa Photo.  The US Visa Photo is 50mm x 50mm, we can sort these out for you.  The Indian Visa Photo is also 50mm x 50mm and we can prepare a passport photo of this size for you.

Passport Photos from other Countries

Certain other countries have specific dimensions and sizes that they require for their passport photo - don't worry we can handle this.  If you are not sure what you need, just tell us where you are going or which country you need a passport or baby passport photo for and we will find out the necessary specifications for that country and prepare a passport photo for you.

Taking your own Passport Photo or Baby Passport Photo

If you would like to submit a potential passport photo or baby passport photo picture using the following tips, I would be happy to have a look at it.

1) Place a large piece of light grey or light cream plain card behind the subject's head or stand/sit the subject against a plain light grey or light cream wall. The background needs to be smooth with no wrinkles or shadows or patterns

2) In the case of a child or baby who cannot sit up, lie them on the floor with the card behind their head and take the picture from directly above them.

3) Place the camera at least four foot away from the subject's face.

4) Make sure there is plenty of light in the room.

5) Make sure that the light is the same on both sides of the face - no dark patches.

6) Make sure that there are no shadows on the face or on the background - you may need to move the light around to achieve this.

7) Make sure that the photo shows plenty of space around the head on all sides.

8) Make sure that no objects or clothes cover the face in any way and no hands near the face.

9) The photo should show the full face with eyes open and should show both ears or at least equal amounts of ear on both sides - face and eyes should look directly at the camera - no side shots.

10) Babies can have their eyes closed but this is not recommended.

11) Take the picture on the best quality setting of the camera.

12) Take the picture without flash.

13) Use a tripod or rest the camera against the back of a chair or something solid to prevent camera shake.

I hope this helps - any problems just give a call or send an email
